English Biscuits

Bina, from London, UK:

So here are some recommended prepared cookies if you are ever in London around tea time:

Grisbi - Fruit Cherry: These cherry filled biscuits are delicious! I think they are actually Italian, made my a company called Parmalat. A light cookie crust surrounding a sweet but not too sweet cherry filling. Delightful!

McVitie's Plain Chocolate Digestives: Despite their unappealing name, these cookies are great, and satisfying when you're hungry. The first ingredient in them is wheat flour, so you can pretend they are good for you!

Bina brought back some chocolate digestives (lucky me!), and I can attest to the fact that these things are awesome. Sweet, but not too rich, so no overly desserty feel. Meaning, I didn't feel bad eating them for breakfast this morning.

Maybe a little bad...

But hey, wheat flour, right? Right.
